ISO 9000 / BS5750 Registration Programme
Led successful ISO 9000 (BS5750) quality management system registration at three separate companies - building the frameworks, engaging teams and achieving certification in each case.
Early in my career, I was invited to join my employer's Quality Assurance Department as increasing numbers of UK manufacturers sought formal quality management accreditation under BS 5750, the predecessor to ISO 9001.
This provided me with an early and comprehensive understanding of quality management systems and the disciplines required to embed them successfully within manufacturing organisations. I played a key role in achieving BS 5750 accreditation, believed to be the first such certification within the UK plastics industry, gaining first-hand experience of designing, implementing and auditing quality management systems.
The expertise developed during this period became a valuable asset throughout my career. I subsequently led three further organisations through the complete certification process to achieve internationally recognised quality management accreditation, embedding robust quality systems, process discipline and continuous improvement into each business.
To reinforce my professional expertise, I also became a member of The Institute of Quality Assurance, ensuring my knowledge remained aligned with evolving best practice and international quality standards.
