Multinational Team Leadership - Muna Noor
Led a multinational workforce of 500+ employees at Muna Noor Manufacturing across Oman and Dubai - spanning multiple nationalities, functions and operational sites.
Muna Noor Manufacturing & Trading LLC, a diversified industrial group based in Oman and owned by a Kuwaiti private equity investment group, recruited me as Group CEO to lead a comprehensive business transformation and position the organisation for sustained international growth.
At the time, the Group was a well-established manufacturer of pipeline products serving primarily the domestic market, with only limited export activity. The strategic objective was to transform the business into a recognised international supplier of pipeline and infrastructure products while significantly improving operational performance and profitability.
The scale of the challenge was considerable. The Group employed more than 500 people representing numerous nationalities, and cultural divisions had created barriers to collaboration, communication and organisational effectiveness. A major cultural transformation programme was required to establish a unified leadership philosophy, improve teamwork and create a high-performance organisation.
Operationally, the business consisted of four manufacturing facilities spread across distances of up to 550 miles, resulting in fragmented operations, duplicated activities and poor communication. Manufacturing, warehousing and fulfilment processes required complete rationalisation to improve efficiency, reduce costs and create an integrated supply chain.

The commercial organisation also required extensive restructuring. The sales function was repositioned, product portfolios were rationalised and harmonised across the Group, and the company's market positioning was fundamentally redesigned to support international expansion.
Equally critical was the introduction of robust health, safety and quality management systems. Health and safety standards were largely absent, exposing the business to unacceptable operational and commercial risks. A comprehensive programme was implemented to establish a culture of safety, accountability and operational discipline across all sites.
Delivering this transformation in an unfamiliar country, with a diverse multinational workforce and complex operational challenges, required decisive leadership, cultural sensitivity and the ability to drive change at every level of the organisation.

A key element of my remit was to diversify the Group beyond manufacturing by creating new revenue streams and reducing dependence on the domestic market. I developed and implemented a strategy to expand the business into wholesale distribution, establishing a network of seven trade supply outlets across Oman and the wider GCC.
This represented a significant strategic shift, transforming the Group from a manufacturing-led organisation into a vertically integrated business with both production and direct-to-market distribution capabilities. The new branch network strengthened customer relationships, broadened the product offering, created additional revenue streams and provided greater control over the route to market, significantly increasing the Group's presence across the Gulf region.
